I had always had dual interests in both art and science. In grade school I always had passions for art class. At the same time, I was president of the computer club in high school. This duality continued In college I started as a computer science major but decided to try a few design courses. This is where I found the lighting design courses in the architecture department and the fact that lighting design really wove both art and science really captivated my attention and has kept it till now.
